The Learn & Master Guitar course is for beginners and intermediate guitar players, those who have never learned to play guitar and those who can play a little. This course is also for accomplished players who believe they lack good playing skills and want to learn and become better players. It is also a great refresher course for those who have been playing guitar for a long time, but realize there is more for them to perfect some of their individual skills.
Going From The Basic Theory to Advanced
No one can learn to play guitar successfully without knowledge of Scales, Triads, Chords, Harmony, Modes and other important music theory skills. Anyone who learns to play guitar cannot become a good accompanist or play in a band without the ability to read notes. When students complete the “Learn & Master Guitar” course they are able to read music notes and this allows them to play more, play better and be noticed.
In the early lessons of the course, students learn the importance of the strings will acquire the ability to recognize the distinct sound of the single strings. The number of strings on guitars can vary in number dependent upon the type of guitar. The most commonly used guitars have five strings.
The “Learn & Master Guitar” course teaches students about all of the strings as well as the combinations, which make up major, minor, barre and other chords. During the course, students learn about strumming and the real secret to great strumming. As students progress from lesson to lesson there will other students learning at the same pace. Developing Your Individual “Style”
With the guidance of Steve Krenz through the “Learn and Master Guitar” course students will develop their own individual playing style. Between Lesson 13 and Lesson 14, students use the skills learned so far while learning to play Jazz. During this lesson, students will have great fun playing in a Jazz session using the Jam session CD.
By the end of Lesson 18, students will be playing solo and many are anxious to share their guitar playing for others online. Other students and guitar players can listen and leave comments. By this time, students will be acquainted with many other students through the blog and chat room and may decide to upload a video of their playing and perhaps sing in their video.
